12. Experience of using the JSW Scar Scale to evaluate keloids and hypertrophic scars

Scar evaluation tools are necessary to distinguish keloids from hypertrophic scars, to select suitable treatment methods, and to prevent scar recurrence. The JCS Scar Scale is suggested to be an appropriate tool to evaluate pathologic scarring. We also recognized the usefulness of this scale to evaluate the effectiveness of scar therapies.
