Biopsy punch incision has been introduced as an alternative method to surgical excision for epidermal cysts. One of the great advantages of the punch incision techniques is that the length of the operative wound is minimized. It results in reduced scarring and better cosmetic outcome. This method is especially advantageous for cysts on the chest wall or shoulders where keloids commonly occur. |
